Drop Off/Pick Up; Campus Parking

PARKING RULES -- Extremely important!

Safety first.  Please follow these rules:

If you need to come into the school, it is CRITICAL that you do not park on any residential streets nearby, such as Kittyhawk, Glider, 85th Place etc., even if parking is allowed there.  We have assured the community we will not use those streets.  Help us keep this home! (Of course, if you live on one of those streets, this does not apply to you.)

After the first two weeks of school, should you need to park to come into the school during the day, a few reserved spots will be available to visitors in our parking lot. Until our parking lot is finished, please park on Manchester Avenue.

Please note that no cars may be parked along La Tijera Blvd. during weekdays (7 a.m. to 7p.m.); please obey the city parking signs. Tickets will be given by the city, and the school cannot excuse you from a ticket.

Although parking is allowed on Manchester, park there ONLY if you are personally going into the school yourself.

Do NOT stop on Manchester or La Tijera to let your child out of the car -- proceed into the parking lot instead as described below.

Please help us be good neighbors by observing these restrictions. We pride ourselves on having strong relationships within the community, which will ultimately help our school in many ways. Thank you for dealing with any parking inconvenience in order to further these relationships.

STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

Parents should consider letting students walk or bike to school if practical; bike racks are available on campus.  Otherwise, when dropping students off or picking them up, please abide by the school procedures.  Pick-up must be within 30 minutes of dismissal, so no later than 4:20 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 2:10 p.m. on Fridays. Any students still remaining at school after those times will be required to wait for parent pick-up in the lunch area.

Do NOT stop on Manchester or La Tijera to let your child out of the car -- proceed into the parking lot instead as described here:

Morning drop off:
  1. Parents dropping off students by car MUST enter the school parking lot from Manchester, going westbound.
  2. Parents will continue through the parking lot and exit by way of La Tijera (right turn ONLY).
  3. Parents may NOT enter from La Tijera or exit onto Manchester as it will disturb the carpool line.

Afternoon dismissal/pick-up:
  1. Parents picking up students by car MUST enter the school parking lot from Manchester, going westbound.
  2. Parents will continue through the parking lot and exit by way of La Tijera (right turn ONLY).
  3. Parents may NOT enter from La Tijera or exit onto Manchester as it will disturb the carpool line.
